Open The Settings Menu First
The first thing we do with any new game isn't play it. It's open the settings. People skip this screen, and then they complain about problems the developer already solved for them.
Graphics options are the big one. Dropping effects or capping the frame rate can turn a stuttery, phone-cooking experience into a smooth, cool one. The visual difference is often tiny; the comfort difference is huge.
Then there's control layout, text speed, audio, and haptics. We've seen games default to tilt steering or buzzing feedback that most players would turn off in a heartbeat. The options are right there.
It takes five minutes and it changes everything. We mention settings in every review precisely because that first menu decides whether a game feels good on your specific phone.
